Based in Ontario, Canada and established in 1994, Homefront Magazine, a premiere luxury lifestyle magazine, provides its readers with previews of the world’s finest in design, lifestyle, and travel. Written by a team of respected experts in their chosen fields, Homefront is a credible source for finding the best of everything from kitchen and bath interiors (our favorite!) to state-of-the-art electronics to custom building and landscaping, and much more.

In their Winter 2020 edition, their highly followed “Favourite Things” article included our one-of-a-kind Beta mosaic by master mosaicist, Erica Dennison, for New Ravenna.

Amongst Homefront’s favourite things were: interactive walkthroughs, tennis balls, suborbital flights, private islands, hardback books, floating villas, red wines, pet accessories, and, of course, our Beta mosaic. Quite the list, right!?

Originally created by Erica Dennison for New Ravenna’s “One of a Kind” mosaic auction to benefit Feeding America, Beta quickly gained popularity and was the subject of a bidding war that kept us on the edge of our seats. Richard Walters, CEO, on the decision to create the “One of a Kind” auction, said, “New Ravenna has always believed it must play a constructive role in our community. As we thought about how COVID-19 was affecting our community and the world, we realized hunger was a growing, if less visible, consequence. Our master mosaicists immediately volunteered to create custom works of art to help raise funds for Feeding America. Several of the mosaics were created while the artisans were home, sheltering in place, thinking about not only the issues that challenge us, but the beauty and inspiration that unite us.”
