House Beautiful, a mecca for home decor ideas, paint colors, DIY, style and more, has dubbed our KIDDO collection “the most enchanting tile you’ll ever see” and we couldn’t be more proud!

Loop De Loop, a waterjet and hand-cut mosaic shown in tumbled Calacatta, polished Nero Marquina, and Carmen Red Serenity glass by Cean Irminger for New Ravenna.

Blogger and Market Editor at House Beautiful, Brittney Morgan, claims the collection will take you right back to your childhood and that’s exactly what we were going for. New Ravenna creative director and designer of KIDDO, Cean Irminger, says, “The aim of the KIDDO collection has always been to entice viewers and transport them to a place of childlike wonder. I wanted the designs to inspire the happy jolts of surprise you get from discovering a secret in plain sight. I feel that the purpose of this collection, and also of New Ravenna, is to give personality and a voice to the inanimate spaces of our lives, and to give people joy in their daily surroundings.”

The KIDDO collection was originally launched in 2016, but last summer, Irminger created a new edition called Wunderkammer—AKA a “wonder room—filled with even more magical designs that will blow your mind.” “Personal Space,” a galaxy-inspired stone tile mosaic, for example, will make you feel like you’ve transported straight to the Milky Way. See below.

Personal Space, a hand-cut and waterjet mosaic, shown in tumbled Nero Marquina, Desert Pink, Soccoro Gray, Blue Mac, Blue Bahia, Spring Green, Alpi with polished Red Travertine, Cirrus, Rose Noriega, Alba Chiara, Cippolino, Honey Onyx, White Onyx, Azure, honed Horizon, with Brass, Aluminum, Shell, and 24k Gold glass by Cean Irminger for New Ravenna.

We love the playful way Brittany describes KIDDO, as if she is a kid herself seeing something bright and shiny for the first time. Of our play on subway tile, she says, “Yes, that is subway tile with actual subway cars inside, which is basically as whimsical as it gets. And it’s a perfect representation of what Irminger says is the mission of this collection and of New Ravenna in general—to give personality and a voice to the inanimate spaces of our lives, and to give people joy in their daily surroundings.”
