One of New Ravenna’s 12 new Delft mosaics was featured in Hospitality Design’s tile section. The Delft mosaics from New Ravenna convey minimalism in a handcut jewel glass composition accented in blue tones that depict decorative motifs found in traditional Dutch Delftware.

Delft, a hand-cut cut jewel glass mosaic, shown in Opal Sea Glass™ with jewel glass Lapis Lazuli, Iolite, and Covelite, is part of the Sea Glass™ Collection by New Ravenna.

Dutch Deltfware was inspired by Chinese porcelain which was brought to the Netherlands by the United Dutch East India Company in 1620. Emulating the crisp and vibrant color combinations, the Dutch potters covered their earthenware pottery in a white tin glaze and used a cobalt, a metal oxide pigment, to add decorative motifs of daily life.

The glass tiles are durable enough for indoor and outdoor installation, and like all New Ravenna products, Delft mosaics can be customized.
