New Ravenna Introduces the Two Step Collection

A Dance-Inspired Collection of Classic Mosaics

April 22, 2025 (Exmore, Virginia) New Ravenna, America’s premier designer and manufacturer of mosaics for residential and commercial installations, is pleased to introduce Two Step, a new collection of handcrafted stone mosaics inspired by the rhythm, energy, and choreography of dance.

Designed and created in New Ravenna’s Virginia studio, Two Step  features ten classic patterns, each crafted from natural stone and Italian Serenity glass. The collection is offered in both warm and cool tone palettes, with a variety of finishes including polished, honed, tumbled, and pillowed Venetian textures. Scaled in both petite and grand formats, the designs are fully customizable to complement any interior or exterior design story.

Hustle: A dynamic herringbone pattern of mixed colors, evoking the improvisation of jazz. Available in petite and grand scale.

Flow: A staggered brick stripe pattern recalling the structure of a line dance. Available in petite and grand scale.

Blurred Lines: A diagonal stripe that creates the visual effect of sound vibration. Available in petite and grand scale.

Highlands: A stacked brick design inspired by the Highland Reel, colored to reflect traditional tartan patterns. Available in petite and grand scale.

Interlace: A woven pattern inspired by the intertwining of melodies and harmonies.

Levels: A simple field pattern available in warm and cool palettes, reminiscent of the rhythmic moves of a square dance.

Stitch: A staggered line pattern available in two scales, evoking the push-and-pull motion of the tango. Available in petite and grand scale.

Webbing: A delicate and organic pattern reflecting how subtle changes can make a significant difference, much like layering of textures in music. Available in petite and grand scale.

Starfall: A bespoke, made-to-measure mural celebrating the sparkling energy of dance under the stars.

Stargaze: A celestial grid with scattered stars placed randomly for a one-of-a-kind, non-repeating design.

“Our prime goal with Two Step was to create a line of classic mosaics that would fit into any budget,” says Cean Irminger, Lead Designer at New Ravenna. “The exciting challenge was how to elevate these simple fields to capture the imagination of homeowners while showcasing the beauty of our materials and finishes. Inspired by the rhythm of dance moves, we found that the repeating one-two-one-two cadence — along with the hand placement of each piece — soon felt like a dance in its own right.”
