New Ravenna Introduces the Old Castle Collection

A Collection Rooted in Nostalgia and a love for the Eastern Shore of Virginia

Exmore, VA — Fall 2025 —New Ravenna is proud to announce the launch of Old Castle, a guest designer collection by Jacquelyn Bizzotto. Following Tidal, Old Castle continues the natural progression of collections inspired by the world surrounding New Ravenna’s Eastern Shore home — shifting from the fluidity of sea and tide to the grounded warmth of memory, heritage, and belonging.

“As we transition from Tidal to Old Castle, I wanted my guest designer collection to flow naturally telling its own story while remaining connected by a shared sense of place,” says Bizzotto. “Moving from the sea-inspired Tidal to the grounded nostalgia of Old Castle felt like an organic evolution.”

Rooted in reflection, Old Castle began quietly — as Bizzotto looked inward and backward, toward the places and moments that shaped her life on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The result is a collection that pays homage to home, memory, and the textures of time — from weathered brick to ivy-covered walls and the shimmer of water in the distance.

Old Castle is about belonging — to a place, a past, and a sense of wonder that never truly fades,” Bizzotto explains. “It’s about the way light falls across old bricks, how ivy climbs year after year, and how memory can feel as tangible as stone beneath your feet.”

Each mosaic within Old Castle tells its own story:

Atlantic  Reminiscent of long boat rides and the sound of water against the hull. It’s a reflection of growing up surrounded by water where indigo blues echo the crash of waves and rich St Laurent browns ground the palette in warmth. Using material, finishes and scale to highlight this pattern.

Barlow  A reflection of childhood days spent skipping along the dock, the thud of footsteps against weathered planks and the way the sunlight cast long shadows across those same planks.

Bayside  Captures the hush of dusk along the shoreline, where sky and sea blend and reflect into one.

Cape Wisteria  Inspired by vines that bloom with quiet grace, symbolizing our memory’s ability to return and renew.

Corisa  A tribute to the Arabian horses that defined Bizzotto’s youth, embodying grace, motion, and loyalty.

Evans  Named for the designer’s family home, this piece evokes the wallpapered halls and peacock motifs that sparked her earliest creative curiosity.

Greenbrier  Reflects the ivy that winds through the Shore’s landscape, deeply rooted and enduring. Ivy can be seen growing along brick walls or old trees and quietly claiming its place for generations.

Lankford  Honors the enduring foundations of Eastern Shore architecture — the chimneys, walls, and paths that have weathered generations, tracing the road most traveled.

Sweetbay  Inspired by magnolia trees lining rural roads, their blossoms unfurling each summer in a display of timeless beauty. A symbol of grace and resilience, this design captures the serene rhythm of the seasons.

As New Ravenna continues its journey through design and place, Old Castle represents a return to roots — and a bridge toward what’s next. Old Castle will be available Fall 2025.
