May 26, 2020  (Exmore, Virginia)New Ravenna, America’s premier designer and manufacturer of mosaics for both residential and commercial installations, is pleased to present “One of a Kind,” a silent auction of fine art mosaics to benefit Feeding America. Master mosaicists at the New Ravenna Design Center have created nine works of art to be auctioned off between June 1-7, 2020. All proceeds from the on-line auction will be donated to Feeding America, to benefit hunger relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each mosaic was inspired by a personal story, and has been hand crafted with a variety of materials, including jewel glass, Obsidian Sea Glass™, Nero Marquina, Bianco Antico, and 24k gold glass. Richard Walters, CEO, on the decision to create the “One of a Kind” auction, “New Ravenna has always believed it must play a constructive role in our community. As we thought about how COVID-19 was affecting our community and the world, we realized hunger was a growing, if less visible, consequence. Our master mosaicists immediately volunteered to create custom works of art to help raise funds for Feeding America. Several of the mosaics were created while the artisans were home, sheltering in place, thinking about not only the issues that challenge us, but the beauty and inspiration that unite us.” New Ravenna has made an additional donation to their local Food Bank of Southeastern Virginiawww.newravenna.com  #757.442.3379
